Thanks and acknowledgements

The virtual herbarium was conceived and developed by Anne Eggebert and Polly Gould.
We wish to thank Steve Watt for his generous and untiring support in developing and creating the virtual herbarium, without which this project could not have taken place during its first phase in 2003. Thanks to Ramaswamy at the Talimi Haq School in Calcutta for his enthusiasm and co-operation. Thanks must go to the participating class room teachers in the UK and India, and of course to all the children themselves.Thank you to Julian Walker for facilitating the current workshops with the UK children. Thanks to Dorian McFarland and J. Maizlish for designing the current site. The virtual herbarium project is part of nature and nation: vaster than empires, a national touring show funded by the National Touring Programme of the Arts Council England, with additional support from The University of the Arts, and Commissions East.
